Terms of Service

Diagnostics and Repairs: Laptops Restored will attempt to diagnose your laptop computer and/or other computer related equipment problem, provide an estimate of applicable service fees (plus parts if required), and then provide you with a repair solution. In certain cases, however, diagnosis and support may not be completed because of a problem with your computer or its configuration that is beyond our control.

(b) Your Responsibility: While Laptops Restored will make all reasonable efforts to safeguard the contents (data) stored on your computer, you understand and agree that prior to contacting or allowing Laptops Restored to perform diagnostic, repair, or other services on your computer, it is your responsibility to back-up the data, software, information or other files stored on your computer disks and/or drives if you so desire. You acknowledge and agree that Laptops Restored and/or its third-party service provider shall not be responsible under any circumstances for any loss, alteration, or corruption of any software, data, or files.

(c) Service Fees: If Laptops Restored is successful in providing a repair solution you understand that the minimum labor/service fee is $50.00. You further acknowledge and agree that Laptops Restored will provide free diagnostic testing of your laptop computer and/or other computer related equipment only if you agree to complete the recommended service at the price quoted. In the event that you should decline quoted service you agree to pay a service fee in the amount of $30.00 plus pickup and return shipping charges. Once you provide verbal or electronic approval of service fees you agree to make payment for these fees within 60 days of the service completion date. If Laptops Restored is unable to reach you via telephone or email within 30 days of the service completion date we will notify you via U.S. certified mail. Laptops Restored accepts no responsibility for any unclaimed goods left in our facility for which service fees are due and have not been paid within 30 days after Laptops Restored obtains a receipt indicating delivery or attempted delivery of the certified letter was made. I agree that Laptops Restored may dispose of any unclaimed goods and hereby release Laptops Restored and waive any claims regarding such disposal.

(d) Repair Turnaround Times: The turnaround times published on the Laptops Restored web site do not include shipping time in transit and reflect only actual time in shop. Turnaround time also depends on availability of parts. If required parts are not in stock the turnaround time will not start until parts become available.

(e) Your Responsibility Regarding Shipping: (1) Initial laptop shipment from you to Laptops Restored: It is very important that you properly package your laptop prior to shipment to us. If you are using your own packaging materials you agree to follow the packaging procedures and standards outlined on our web site at www.Laptops Restored/packaging.html. If you are using a laptop shipping container provided by Laptops Restored you agree to follow the packaging instructions provided with the box. You further agree that damages that occur during shipping will be sole responsibility of the shipping carrier and that Laptops Restored is not responsible for such damages. (2) Final shipment from Laptops Restored to you: Upon receipt of returned items from Laptops Restored you are responsible for inspecting and noting obvious damages to the package exterior to the UPS delivery person at the time you accept the package. You must accept the package before you can make a damage claim with UPS. Where shipped items have received damages internally, you are responsible for reporting this damage to Laptops Restored with 24-48 hours after receiving the package at which time we will advise you on UPS damage claim procedures. IMPORTANT: You must keep all packaging materials and have them ready for pickup and inspection by a UPS representative. DO NOT RETURN DAMAGED MERCHANDISE to Laptops Restored, UPS must first validate the damage claim. UPS damage claim procedures can be found on the UPS web site.

SERVICE LIMITATIONS; LIABILITY

(a) LIMITATIONS TO SERVICE: Laptops Restored RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFRAIN FROM PROVIDING ANY OR ALL REQUESTED SERVICES AND INSTEAD REFUND YOUR PAYMENT, WHOLLY OR IN PART, ON THE BASIS THAT YOUR TECHNICAL NEEDS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS ARE UNUSUAL OR EXTENSIVE AND BEYOND THE SCOPE OF THIS SERVICE AGREEMENT AS REASONABLY DETERMINED BY Laptops Restored.

(b) FORCE MAJEURE: If Laptops Restored's ability to render laptop repair services is impaired by you or circumstances beyond the control of Laptops Restored, Laptops Restored may choose not to provide or to discontinue services.

(c) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: To the extent permitted by law, you agree that Laptops Restored's total liability for damages related to its services is limited to the total amount you pay for the these services (plus parts if applicable), and you release Laptops Restored from liability for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Laptops Restored IS NOT LIABLE FOR LOSS, ALTERATION, OR CORRUPTION OF ANY DATA OR FOR YOUR INABILITY TO USE YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT OR OTHER PRODUCT.

(d) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY DURING SHIPPING: Laptops Restored uses UPS as a reliable shipping carrier and in most cases provides up to $1000 in shipping insurance for each shipment. Laptops Restored is not responsible for damages that occur during shipping, however damages should be processed using the procedures set forth by UPS . Laptops Restored will provide UPS damage claim assistance provided you follow the damage claim procedures outlined in the terms of service section (e) above.

SERVICE WARRANTY
If you are not satisfied with services received from Laptops Restored, please call (520) 777-9338 for an attempted resolution. Service warranty policies are outlined on our web site at www.laptopsrestored/warranty.html. Upon completion of every approved and successful service a full system test will be completed. You will receive a copy of the system certification sheet along with your repaired laptop. Any problems associated with the repair not identified during the testing process must be reported within 7 days from the date you receive your laptop. Problems occurring after this time frame will be covered under the warranty policy outlined at www.laptopsrestored/warranty.html.
