Why should I go with Laptops Restored when I have an accident with my laptop computer?

Laptop computer repair is all we do, and we do it well. Most likely we have dealt with a situation similar to yours in the past. Our main goal is to restore your productivity. Since most of our repairs are performed at our Tucson facility, we offer a quick turn-around time of usually 7 days or less.

Why should I go with Laptops Restored rather than a computer repair store?

Laptop computer repair is a specialized field with different types of breakdowns and repair procedures than desktop computers. Laptop repair is all we do, and we keep up to date with best practices in the field. As a matter of fact, many local computer repair stores refer their laptop computer repair customers to us.

Shouldn't I just send my laptop in to the Dell, HP, Toshiba etc. service center?

If its under regular warranty or extended warranty and if the problem is not accidental damage, then the service center is the way to go. If it is out of warranty or if its accidental damage, then we can repair it for less money in less time right here in Tucson.

Why do you have separate drop-off locations and a repair facility?

We do this as a convenience to our customers and to keep our costs down and pass the savings to the customer. Our drop off locations are easy to find and have extended hours and are open on Saturdays making it easier to drop the laptops off. We pick up the laptops daily from the drop off facilities, and you are not charged until we agree on the repairs to be made. Worst case, your laptop is with us for 2 days, and if you decide not to go ahead with a repair or a diagnostic, you get your laptop back with no charges.

What factors determine the turn-around time?

Since for most repairs we have to order replacement parts, the delivery time of replacement parts takes the bulk of the time. Typically, this takes 4-5 days. Once the replacement parts arrive, we strive to finish the repair within 24 to 48 hours.

How do I know the status of the repair while the laptop is being repaired?

Once we agree on the repair, we let you know how long the repair will take. If there is a delay or an issue, we let you know right away. Also you are always welcome to phone or email us. We will respond by the end of the business day.

What kind of warranty do you offer?

Unless otherwise stated, we offer a 2 year warranty on both parts and labor. In addition we offer 1 year accidental damage protection. If your screen is damaged within 1 year of replacement, we will only charge for parts to repair it.

Doesn't the warranty cover this kind of stuff?

Regular factory warranty does not cover accidental damage. In most cases extended warranties do not either, unless it specifically says so. Please check your extended warranty if you have it. Most gold and platinum credit cards have a 90 day accidental damage warranty and also double the manufacturer warranty. If you recently purchased your computer please check with your credit card.
